Compliance Executive (Operation Team) will play a critical role in protecting the company's intellectual property (IP) or ensuring the eCommerce platform complies with global IP laws. This role focuses on monitoring, identifying, and responding to instances of intellectual property infringement, such as counterfeit products, unauthorized use of trademarks, and copyright violations. Compliance Executive (Operation) will collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and IP rights holders to safeguard the brand and maintain trust in the platform.

This position is vital to ensuring the integrity of the eCommerce platform by safeguarding against IP violations and protecting both the company and third-party brands from damage caused by infringement.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Monitoring and Detection:

    • Regularly monitor listings, content, and products on the eCommerce platform for potential intellectual property violations, including counterfeits, trademark misuse, or copyright infringements.
    • Use internal tools and third-party software to track suspicious activity and identify infringing sellers or products.
  • IP Violation Response:

    • Investigate IP infringement claims and manage the end-to-end process of takedowns, including reviewing infringement notices, communicating with the involved parties, and executing enforcement actions (e.g., removing listings or suspending sellers).
    • Respond to Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) takedown requests, trademark violations, and other IP-related complaints.
    • Liaise with external legal counsel when necessary to escalate cases of serious or repeated IP violations.
  • Policy and Procedure Development:

    • Help develop and implement IP enforcement policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure consistency and effectiveness in addressing IP violations.
    • Contribute to the creation and refinement of automated tools and processes for IP protection, ensuring swift action against infringing parties.
  • Reporting and Analysis:

    • Track and report key metrics related to IP enforcement efforts, including the number of takedown requests, infringement cases resolved, and trends in counterfeit or unauthorized activity.
    • Analyze IP infringement data to identify patterns or emerging risks and suggest improvements in enforcement strategies.
  • Risk Management:

    • Identify potential risks to the company’s intellectual property or third-party brands and provide recommendations for mitigating these risks.

REQUIREMENT

  • At least 1 year of work experience and familiarity in Ecommerce 
  • Familiarity with managing large-scale investigations and enforcement actions in an eCommerce environment is a plus
  • Having knowledge of intellectual property laws (trademarks, patents, copyrights) and online enforcement mechanisms (e.g., DMCA, takedown processes) is a plus
  • Basic English skills (reading& written)
  • Experience with Excel, GG Sheet, and PowerBI
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to detect subtle instances of intellectual property violations and take appropriate actions
  • Negotiation and Conflict Resolution: Strong interpersonal skills to resolve conflicts 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively to carry out action plans throughout the project.
